Eilidh Buchanan studied marketing at Glasgow’s University of Strathclyde whilst working as a Marketing Assistant for DF Concerts & Events in her final years. Upon graduating she proceeded to work in the fast paced environment and began her full time post as Marketing Executive for DF Concerts, in particular focusing on the marketing of T in the Park, Glasgow Summer Sessions and King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.
In spring 2016, Eilidh joined Glasgow Life and now manages the marketing for Celtic Connections. She is responsible for planning, managing and delivering the advertising, digital marketing and social media for the festival. Celtic Connections encourages artistic creativity by commissioning new music and allowing a platform for world premieres involving new collaborations of musicians from all over the world to take place. The marketing therefore strives to reflect the diverse nature of the festival, by segmenting appropriately yet reaching a global audience.
