As Head of Brand, Lynsey manages Scottish Rugby’s Marketing, Digital and Broadcast teams. From grass root rugby initiatives to the Scotland national team Lynsey and her team manage all creative & content outputs and campaigns to grow and raise the profile of rugby across Scotland – and globally. It’s an exciting time for the organisation with commercial revenue and ticket attendances at a record high – and the Scotland team performing well on the pitch – this season reaching a record high of 5th in the world.
With the sudden emergence and prevalence of social media and video content as a marketing/ fan engagement tool – and with its value and impact only growing – Lynsey and her team are constantly looking to develop and evolve their digital offering to cater for their target audiences throughout the season.
Lynsey joined Scottish Rugby as an intern in 2006 after securing a BA Hons Marketing Degree from the University of Stirling. Lynsey attended Stirling University to continue to peruse her life as an elite swimmer while also furthering her education. After a season as Business Assistant with Glasgow Warriors following her internship Lynsey returned to the central Marketing team at Scottish Rugby in 2007 and has never looked back since. Now with over 10 years’ experience in professional sport; including 3 Rugby World Cup campaigns, a record breaking Guinness Pro12 Final and most recently a European Rugby Final under her belt Lynsey insists there’s never been a more exciting time to be involved with the company or in the industry.
