Biography

Joining in December 2007, Stuart is now head of EventScotland and responsible for EventScotland’s events portfolio, leading its event impact measurement and the overall strategic approach. Prior to working with EventScotland, Stuart was Performance Director with the Scottish Golf Union. In addition, he has also worked with the Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland on the last six Commonwealth Games including working as Director of the pre games Team Camps for both the 2006 and 2018 games as well as being an Attaché to Team Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Stuart worked with the British Curling Association in the build-up to the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and was part of the Great Britain Holding Camp team for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He was also part of the Sport Advisory Group for Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and has led our work across themed years in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015. Stuart also has a wide variety of cultural interests including music and whisky.
