Neil Mitchell

Neil has served in the Scottish Ambulance Service for 24 years, working in Glasgow and Lanarkshire mainly . His service has included working as a Paramedic in A&E ambulances, Paramedic Response Units and as a Paramedic Practitioner. More recently Neil has been an Area Service Manager at various locations in Glasgow. He has been involved in several Major and Critical Incidents within the West, carrying out different roles including Ambulance Incident Commander. Neil was also involved in the delivery of support for the G8 summit at Gleneagles and the recent of visit of President Trump last year. He has served as an Event Commander at various high profile events including European Championships Glasgow 2018, Commonwealth Games 2014, Various FIFA matches at Hampden as well as at many key UEFA/SPFL matches at Ibrox and Celtic Park. His current role is Events Manager for the West of Scotland, this involves planning, preparation and delivery of ambulance services at various Events across the region. Neil is an on call Tactical Commander and also an HCPC registered Paramedic.
